Hey Gabe! So I have a question for u…I need my stores website to come up in the top 5 when people type in hair extensions NYC…do I have to go thru the company that runs my website??

The answer is simple honey, it’s time to get SOCIAL!
Being social on the web is a lot like being social in real life, you gotta go to where all the kids hang out, you gotta get to know people who are cool, you gotta get them to think that you are cool. The social web is conversational – you have to engage an audience and create a fan base.
How to get social:
1. Start a facebook page and invite all yer pals.(Fan base)
2. Get a twitter up and running and find people in your real hair social sphere. (Conversational)
3. Blog like a maniac (Youtube, Picassa, Text Blog) about all things Real hair. You know, that GOOD hair. (Content for Search engine optimization)Once you do get social, you must follow these 3 simple rules for selling yourself on the web:
1. Never directly sell your company or your product (that’s what the website is for) just start a conversation about stuff that people are interested in.
2. Reference tips about all things Real hair (This will effectively bring more people to your blog through other searches and in turn drive traffic to your website.)
3. Answer all questions directed at you through social media. (This will help you create content and show that you are an authority on the subject)
Finally, STOP PAYING FOR GOOGLE ADS!! No seriously, stop it – now, it’s a waste of money.
The more hits you get, the more references you can make to real hair, good hair NYC in your blogging, the more natural it sounds the higher your search ranking will get.
